Katherine Pimentel
President
Dominican Tennis Association of New York (DTA of NY)
Katherine is dedicated to advancing DTA of NY's mission of empowering youth through tennis, education, leadership, and community engagement.
As the proud mother of two daughters, Annelie and Madeleine, Katherine brings a strong background in sales, retail, organizational leadership, and community service. Her professionalism, integrity, compassion, and commitment have earned the trust and respect of our families, volunteers, coaches, board members, and community partners.
As a Certified Mental Health First Aider, Katherine has worked closely with our youth to promote confidence, resilience, leadership, and social-emotional growth. She also serves as DTA of NY's liaison for our partnership with the Winward Academy through the USTA, helping eligible students access free academic support, SAT and ACT preparation, and college readiness resources.
Katherine enjoys playing tennis and has developed a genuine understanding of the sport and its ability to positively impact young people. She believes DTA of NY is about much more than tennis—it is about building character, supporting education, promoting emotional well-being, fostering leadership, and creating opportunities for every child to succeed. Her passion for serving others and her commitment to our mission continue to inspire the families and youth we serve
Under her leadership, DTA of NY will continue to foster integrity, teamwork, respect, and service while creating meaningful opportunities for youth and families throughout our community.
